Circa 16th Century Havana, Cuba (originally named “El Draque” in honor of Sir Francis Drake, English sea captain and explorer who visited Havana in 1586)

8 mint leaves (depending upon size of leaves – use more leaves if tiny)

2 oz Rum

2 oz Lafitte’s Gold Margarita Mix

Sparkling Water, to top (we recommend using Pellegrino, Topo Chico or Pierre)

Garnish: mint sprig and lime wheel

Muddle the mint leaves with the Margarita Mix in a tall glass, then add rum and stir. Fill glass with ice and then top with Sparkling Water. Garnish with mint and lime wheel.
